TIFF 09: Day 2 - Daybreakers Daybreakers is an Australian horror film about vampires in the year 2019. A nice distraction from the “vampire” films and TV series as of lately, such as Twilight and Vampire Diaries. In the future, humans are endangered, and vampires are the main species. They are trying to come up with an alternative to humans (as their food supply will be gone within a month) when someone finds the cure. Hilarity (and by hilarity, I mean lots of blood and killing) occurs. This is a film that I don’t want to talk about too much, as I feel it needs to be seen to be experienced. Rating: A
